Monday, January 20

Dix Hills

  • 7:00 pm: Asleep for Winter! Grades K-5. The animals are getting ready to hibernate for the season, so come to our story time to bid them goodnight!

Wednesday, January 22


Dix Hills

  • 10:00 am: 1,2,3, Play with Me! 1-3 years old with an adult. Join us for a playtime featuring age-appropriate toys and art activities while getting a chance to talk to our guest speakers about parenting issues.


Melville

  • 1:30 pm: Concepts Storytime! 3-5 years old with an adult. Colors, numbers, and shapes! Oh my!


Thursday, January 23


Dix Hills

  • 1:00 pm: Little Listeners! 3-5 years old with an adult. Join us for a fun story and craft!


Melville

  • 10:30 am: Twos and Threes! 2-3 years old with an adult. See old friends and make some new ones at this weekly story time especially for 2 and 3 year olds!


Friday, January 24


Dix Hills

  • 7:00 pm: Chess Club! Grades 1-5. Learn the basics of this classic game and test out your favorite strategies against your friends!


Melville

  • 10:30 am: Wee Walkers! 12-23 months old with an adult. An early literacy class featuring a simple story, finger plays, movement rhymes and songs!


Saturday, January 25


Dix Hills

  • 11:00 am: Nature Nick! Families with children ages 5 and up. "Nature" Nick Jacinto is one of the most well-known animal handlers in the New York tri-state area. he and his animals have appeared on numerous TV shows and public events throughout the area. The animals you'll meet were either former zoo animals who were injured and could not be placed back on exhibit or confiscated exotic pets. Join us to meet some unique new friends!

Sunday, January 26


Dix Hills

  • 2:00-3:30 pm: Yoga Wisdom! Girls in grades 3-6. This mother-daughter yoga class will incorporate yoga, open conversation and journaling on topics that our daughters are facing. Topics will include issues such as body image, bullying, and stress.


Melville

  • Melville library is closed on Sundays.
